Spring and Summer Fashions 2008

This spring and summer, it is important to stay fashionably cool and these two designs are examples og how to do just that. Both looks work for wherever you are going whether it be shopping with friends or dinner at the local jazz restuarant. The key to keeping these looks simple but cute is to pair them with flat shoes or strappy heels. Nothing too heavy that will weigh the look down. Keep the fabrics light and colorful. Silks work wonderfully, as well as, the trusted cotton fabrics.

Meet The Designer

Hi! My name is Angela Tatum-Johnson and I am the creative mind behind the Tarheel Angel designs. All of the designs that will be offered through my boutique will always reflect my style and philosophy when it comes to fashion. I feel that fashion should reflect a woman's personality...who she is and what she wants to present to the world. Her fashion speaks for her and it should tell you all about how she lives. My style...is casual, formal, whatever my mood is at the moment. I never dress for the occassion but dress for how I want to present myself at the occassion. The rules of fashion is wear what accentuates your positives and camouflages your "not-so-positives". I have been sewing and designing my own clothes since high school. I started my sewing out of necessity and it has extended into a necessity to have something that noone else has. I also am developing a passion for things that will help to save our environment and become the stewards that God placed us here on Earth to be. So with that being said, you will see products that reflect that newly found passion, as well as items that reflect other passions that I have. I hope I am able to make a difference in your fashion world with my designs and creations.

The Basic Pant

Tarheel Angel will carry a signature pant that is a wide-legged pant that is flattering to all shapes and sizes. If you are tall and lean, this pant will drape your frame beautifully. If you are on the shorter side (5'3" and under) this pant can create a longer, taller look by keeping the bottom dark or monochromatic. These pants can be dressed up or down according to what you pair with them. For a relaxed look, a baby tee shirt or tank top with some cute flip flops or sandals would be a nice spring/summer weekend outfit. Or, if you need to take it into the office, pair them with a soft-tailored shirt of a matching color. Navy is making a come back as a staple color and you can never go wrong with a khaki or camel color. Place a dressy halter top with them and they are ready for a night out with the girls. Post your comments about our signature pant. Tell us how you wear your wide-legged pants or ask for ideas to create your own look.
